Default Will wheels with same offsets and specs but different brand fit the same?

Hey was wondering if anyone had a set of 19in fr2/fr4 wheels on their 3is f sport. Ive been googling around and could only find people with 20s

Ive been looking for a set but don't know if they'll fit. On elementwheels.com it says none of the Ferrada sets fit the 3is but they have a set thats 19x8.5/9.5 et 35/40, which is the same specs as a set of niche misano m117. So if all the specs of the wheels are the same, shouldn't it fit too? or does the design of the wheel have an effect on clearing the brakes/rubbing the fenders?

Also I want to go with their 19x8.5 et 35 in the front, and 19x10.5 et 38 in the rear. My second question is would anyone know if this setup will work in the rear? If so, would tires would y'all recommend for no rubbing/fender work. I am lowered on RSR downs.

Wheel diameters, widths and offsets are all the same, no matter what. But fitment also depends on center bore size (most aftermarket are big enough to fit on most cars), bolt pattern, barrel design and spoke design.

You only need to start worrying about barrel design when you run aftermarket parts like BBK or suspension ball joints that may run close to the barrel. Not all wheels of the same outer diameter have the same inner diameter/barrel dimension.

Spoke design is usually the most dynamic part of the design that you need to think about as it will affect brake clearance.

if you're interested in the wheels, contact the manufacturer for details. They may have said it doesn't fit because it really doesn't or maybe because they just haven't tried it yet and don't want to be on the hook for bad info just in case it doesn't fit.

Whats up brother,

Like i mention on the chat system yesterday afternoon.
The fitment we are doing on your Lexus IS will required very minimal rear camber adjustment to have the 19x10.5 clear the fenders.
A good name brand that would work with a nice slight stretch is the Hankook K120 235/35/19 265/30/19 or if you want a little bit more of a stretch then a 225/35/19 255/30/19 but no need to this much stretch,

Jake

thanks for the reply again! It’s just hard to put my foot down on the 265 since everyone in this forum seem to be running 265 on a less aggressive setup while running 255 on a more aggressive fitment like the one we’re working with. Like I see people with 19x9.5 et38 and they already look like they flushed to the fender. Just afraid to hit the fender/rub but I’ll go ahead and take your word for i and go with 235/265

thanks again jake!

On my buddies we just did a 19x8.5 & 19x10.5 he ran with 225/35/19 & 255/30/19 but he was on RSR super downs which is more lower then the RSR Downs.

Plus we also did a Stance SF01 19x8.5+30 & 19x9.5+38 RSR Super Downs and he just did camber adjustments on the rear and cleared.

the difference is on the camber and how much you want to pull.

You dont want to pull much then do a 225/255 set up, if you want to go a bit wider and dont mind pulling some negative camber then a 235/265 would work.

I wanna go with the plug and play option with the camber setup I have right now. I attached a pic of my alignment specs on rsr downs and stock wheels. There is no camber adjustment on so I can only work with those numbers... So with those camber specs, would you still recommend the 265?

Thank you, that helps a lot, i would say to stay within the OEM specs and just do a little adjustments say to -1.7 or -1.8 then a 225/255 is going to be right for you.

Other then that you would need some camber kits to go more negative.

Most 315mhz TPMS do work for Lexus Models just amke sure to have the Sensors programmed to the correct year, if not you will get wrong codes to the car.

You can also reuse the OEM TPMS on the Ferrada Wheels .
