Grinding/squeaking sound
I have a 2014 Lexus is350 rwd non f sport. I have a grinding/sqeaking sound coming from passenger side rear tire area. I’ve taken to the dealership twice and they could not duplicate the sound even though I showed them a video of it happening. Has anybody had the issue with their Lexus?

I personally have not had it, and I have an IS 300, so I may not be much help... just a suggestion.

I know it’s hard to notice in the video but as I exit the driveway is when it makes the noise. The noise mostly happens when backing up the car you can hear it. It doesn’t happen every time though but that noise is continuous sound until I stop.

That should be easy to reproduce at the dealer. They should be at least willing to try and diagnose.

could be brake pads getting low, Cold weather/first startups, aftermarket pads.
i had some that squealed and i did the parking brake service/TSB and noise went away.
also possible rear sliders getting seized/backing plate mounting points touching rotors
Dealer should be able to diagnose that problem easily.

As others have mentioned, It does sound like the brake pads are getting thin and it is grinding on the tab to warn you.
But after the dealer couldn't replicate the noise, they didn't even bother to check the brakes? It's basically one of the easiest suspension components to look for. Also given it's a 3 year old car, it's almost obvious that the brakes should be the main culprit. Lazy dealer.

As silly as it might sound, i once had this sound with some small stones stuck in between the brake rotors... letting it grind out over 30-45mins with some light tapping did the trick for me.
