Default Stock tips

ive been looking into getting a new exhaust for my '17 IS but was wondering would I have to absolutely remove my exhaust tips? Because honestly I've always liked the rectangular exhaust look...

You can get an exhaust shop to weld it back on for you. I was offered the same but I decided to leave the stock tips off for the time being.
