Default 2017 IS350 F Sport Throttle Response issue

Hi,

I've been deciding on 2016 Audi S3 vs. 2017 Lexus IS350 F Sport and I finally decided to go with IS350 F Sport (because it is new and discount was huge!)
I am almost done with the 2017 IS350 F Sports deal. I test drove the car and the throttle response was little slow. So I wanted to see if there are any tune that will fix the throttle response?

Thank you!

Welcome and congrats on your purchase!
You can start your search here: www.RR-Racing.com
You will find RR-Racing in the vendor forum as well: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/cl-...velopment.html
Also you can Google OV Tuning...they have tunes available as well.

Also, the throttle response delay is definitely more noticeable in normal mode especially from a start. In Sport or Sport+ mode, its noticeably less from a start (maybe a hint of it) and almost non-existent when already rolling. I tend to start from stoplights in Sport and then switch to normal when just cruising to save gas.

Its a bit annoying but the throttle response is just a characteristic of being in eco mode. It feels odd to me as well.

its like i have to press the accelerator half an inch in before the engine responds but then when it does it suddenly kicks in. So i have to drive it with more care than in sports mode. In sport mode the power is much more linear and comfortable to accelerate.

That's why many people get the Apexi Smart Accel Throttle Controller. It's a relatively cheap and easy mod for much improved throttle response. I have it on my GS350 and it's great!

What sort of numbers are you getting with the S3 and IS350?

I was in the same boat as you before. Comparing S3 vs IS350. Ultimately, went with Lexus cause it was cheaper, easier to maintain, and reliable.

Also, the IS is very fun to drive. S3 as well

I was looking at 16 Audi S3 and it has 22k miles. Asking price was $37.5k+Shipping and new 17 IS350 F Sport was $44.5K OTD.
Few things I was afraid of buying S3 was, no ventilated seat(My body temperature is always hot...), No certified vehicle(manufacturer warranty is only till 4years 40K miles), High cost maintenance.

Dang.. the OTD prices for the IS350 this year made me feel like I overpaid =[

What was the sticker price of the IS350?

Get the S3 - it's a smaller car, but the performance is out of this world compared to the IS350F.

Sticker price was $49k...This is the only reason why I am going to buy a IS350...huge discounts...

I really wanted S3 but the vehicle I've been looking(they still have this for sale) was not a certified and no extra warranty.

I know I have confident buying Toyota/Lexus but VW/Audi....no.... They are offering me a extended warranty thru All State and its expensive. Also only covers 5years 75k miles... cost me about $2.6k..
