My base 200t was on 17" wheels and upgrading them to 19" wheels did not present any problems and i was told by the sales guy that the size of the brakes for 2016 IS are the same across all variants. Hope i helped.

Having said that, am currently on prodrive 19" wheels and Michelin PSS, the ride is quite jarring as you feel the bumps, road markings and it gets really noisy on those low-profiles. Seriously contemplating to go back to 17", but wider tires when my current PSS wear out. 19" looks gorgeous though...

Just out of curiosity, what was the specs of the 19 inch wheels you had? (width, offset, etc.)
What size tires did you run?
What tire pressures did you run?

This may help explain why you had such a bad experience with the ride.

My wheels are light weight Approximately 19-23 pounds without tires.

Mine is a squared setup 19 x 8.5 offset 35 and tires are Michelin PSS 235/35/19. Wheels are Prodrive GC-05N... PSI is at 36... These look ok?

That looks like a good rim size and offset, a great tire, and good tire pressure...I'm surprised you actually had a ride comfort issue. Nothing about that setup stands out as out of the ordinary, to be honest.

Yeah, but having driven for about 6 months on the 17", i found myself preferring more sidewalls. Perhaps a few more months and i will get used to it...
