Default Chrome Delete Price?

Wondering what others have paid for a chrome delete on the 3IS. I have a '14 IS350 F Sport (AWD) and I'm looking to get the doors and grille wrapped. So far, I've been quoted $600+ from two businesses in the area. This price seems absurd to me as it is so little space. For comparison, one of the two companies I contacted wrapped my roof earlier in the year and it cost me around $400.

I'm not, in any way, shape, or form, an expert or even very knowledgeable on the whole wrapping process and all of that...but is it not silly that a chrome delete is $200+ more expensive than my entire roof?

Ironically the material cost to do the roof versus the front grill and window trim is about the same. The roof is a tiny bit more expensive.
The wrapper that did my roof mentioned that other clients were asking about doing the window trim...to which he mentioned it was a PITA to do.
So from a labor perspective it going to cost more than the roof....having said that, $600 USD seems a little out there...of course $400 USD for the roof wrap is also a little out there.
Dare i say that this may be an instance where something actually cost less in Canada?!?! What?!?!

Thanks for the reply, Sasnuke! I've noticed that many things are more expensive here in Nebraska...Including the price I paid to have my roof wrapped, as you mentioned. For example, there's a fellow CL member who paid $50/caliper to have them painted in NY...so approximately $200 total. While I was quoted double the price for the same thing...$400 to paint my calipers. I simply think there isn't much of a market here for custom car work and that is what's driving the price up. I honestly might just wait until I move next year to do anything other mods to my car.

I've seen that there are actually chrome delete kits for other cars (WRX, for example)...$19.99 for the product...if only it was that easy for our cars.
