My lease is ending in December and I've been thinking about what vehicle should be next.

These are the vehicles I've considered:
-RX350/450H (major concern is that drone/vibration issue that has yet to be fixed by Lexus)
-2015 GS ( don't care too much for the new style unless it's the GS-F)
-newest Highlander Hybrid (no android auto/car play or LED/HID headlights)
-Genesis G80 Sport (extremely heavy, new model reliability/durability).
-MDX hybrid (stupid infotainment setup, push button gear selector)
-TLX (looks have yet to grow on me, still researching, push button gear selector)

There's a chance I might just buy out my lease and wait until Lexus or someone else really steps up their game.

 

I'm considering the NX300h.

 

I haven't had my IS350 very long, but I think the next generation GS will possibly be my next car (should be redesigned in the next couple years). The Lexus designs are getting better with every re-style (such as the new LS, new RX, etc)

 

Just got a 2017 RX350 F-sport to haul the family around so i am eyeing something smaller like an RCF during the December deals or my first MB C63 . I had my fingers crossed waiting for a 3.0T model for the IS to be released by now but i guess Lexus will keep us dreaming longer.

 

they aren't going to release it in the 3rd gen IS for sure, the 4th gen IS350 i have a strong feeling/hope that the TTV6 from the LS500 will be put in it so the car can be pushing around 320hp, and 330 lb ft of torque would probably be ideal, all of lexus cars are down on torque and that's what they need to be more of performance cars, and more weight savings too

 

100% will be a lexus, either a 4IS TTV6 or next-gen GS TTV6 if a baby comes along.

 

We'll see how the new IS turns out. My next car will most likely be something like an M240i though. I'm tired of feeling like my car has decade old technology (because it does lol).

 

i love the M240i too, especially the 2018 refresh, BMW's tech is miles ahead from lexus too

 

The M240i doesn't even have much tech, but it's still better than my loaded F-Sport I don't understand why we can't have simple things like parking sensors with F-Sport.

 

Just seems like more stuff to break to me. Keep the cars simple and keep them lite. I don't get the desire to drive my entertainment center down the road and have gadgets that break. I could be way off though.

 

What kind of tech are talking?

My last BMW was a 2013 328i - I felt like the car was made of plastic. Cracks and creaks all summer long.

RCTA, Dynamic radar, park assist, (back up camera wasn't even standard on my BMW), lane departure, navi - I mean what else is there that I am missing?

 

The M240i has these things that my car doesn't: parking assist, parking sensors, nav traffic, CarPlay, memory seats, and I think a couple other minor things. It really doesn't have much tech, but it's still more than my loaded 350 F-Sport.

The M240i has more features and the powertrain tech is way more recent. I feel like Lexus should either offer more luxury features with the F-Sport or update the powertrain already (...I mean it's been 12 years since this engine debuted...).

 

I just leased a new 2017 IS350 F sport but in 2 years, when the FMC of teh IS comes out, I'll try and jump into the new one if the styling is great. If not, I'll either stick with my IS or get an Infiniti Q60. I must admit that I was very tempted to get one when I got my IS, it was close but the Lexus dealer made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

 

I plan to keep the 3IS for 7 years. Then maybe get the GSF.

 

So correct me if I am wrong, but are you saying your fully loaded 350 doesn't have Parking assist, sensors, navigation traffic?

I agree with you on the powertrain, but the technology is all there in my opinion.
