I had a Lexus is 200t with invidia Q300 cat back. Not happy with the sound. Just wondering will put in a aftermarket intake (Injen intake) make exhaust louder?

 

I think it might make a slight difference. You can try selling the axle-back and trying a different one... i know a lot of people on here like the invidia mid-pipe with other branded axle-backs. You could also try straight pipe...

 

It will make a good difference.

Eh, I personally don't think so because my intake and exhaust sound off at opposing RPM ranges

I would suggest getting a midpipe, that will add some cabin drone though

I have the Q300, It was quiet. Resonator delete makes it awesome! Adding the Takeda aFe made it sound different. A little louder at 25k 35k RPM

 

Yes, but some online vendors call the axle back a cat back

 

Axle is axle, catback is axle + midpipe.

I have a custom catback exhaust and the only thing I noticed when I installed my Injen intake is that after I can really hear the stock BPV. I wouldn't say that it made my exhaust any louder.

 

then you should not purchase from those vendors
