contacts not saving to car

My contacts are not being saved to my car.everytime i leave and return to car contacts are being updated.why is it this?
i am driving a 2014 lexus is 250

Because contacts are actually NEVER saved into the car. The car will only mirrior the contacts on your phone via bluetooth.

If you disconnect the Bluetooth, or do not bring your phone into the car. No contacts will be shown.
