Hi all- had triple A install a new battery because my car wasn't starting. They didn't know where this plastic cover went after installing... Does anyone know where this goes? I'm stumped.
To be honest, I don't think that's from your car.
On every part Toyota/Lexus/Scion manufacturers you will find at least a partial part number, if not the entire number.
Based on your two pics, I don't see any numbers on the part.
Double check it for any numbers and post them.
But even that symbol on it is nothing I've ever seen on a Toyota/Lexus/Scion.
Thanks that's what I was thinking - apparently just hanging out next to the battery in the engine bay. Just want to make sure it's not an essential part that needs to be reinstalled.
That looks like an aftermarket battery terminal cover.
Did you buy the car used and if so did it ever have a car audio upgrade? That looks like a cover off a multi-connection battery terminal. Another clue is if one or both of the battery cables have had their connector replaced.
