Default Do all IS250s come staggered?

I'm considering purchasing a 2014 IS250 that has 18" wheels. Wouldn't this mean all (4) wheels are 18" and thus all tires are the same size? Or would the rear TIRES be different even though they're the same size RIMS in the front?

I used to have a Corvette that was "staggered" but it has 19" rims in the rear and 18" in the front. How can the Lexus be staggered if all the rims are 18"?

If it has 17" wheels, then it's a square setup. If it has the 18" wheels (whether F Sport or Base) it's staggered.

It's a non-F sport "with 18" wheels" (per dealer). So would I assume that the fronts are 18" and the rears are 18.5"? Or would I assume that all (4) rims are 18" and the rear tires are merely different sizes?

Assuming they're the optional 18" wheels from Lexus, the fronts will be 18" x 8" and the rears will be 18" x 8.5".

Stock tire size is front 225/40R18 and rears are 255/35R18.

Thanks. Yep, they're the optional 18" wheels for the non-F Sport. So the diameter of the rims is 18" on all (4) rims but the width is different. Ok makes sense now. So if I stick with these rims, I'll never be able to buy the exact same tire for all 4 wheels?

I'm trying to figure out how to extend tire life. If I have to buy new tires every 20K miles, not sure if I'm willing to commit to this purchase. But I do love everything else about the car. Would I be able to rotate just the rears (or is that a no-no? would they be directional tires?)

non-directional can be rotated left to right. tire life has a lot to do with the way you drive, tire compound (soft won't last as long but handles better), alignment, air pressure, etc.

I won't be doing any fancy driving, but it will be my daily driver. I know it varies somewhat driver to driver but how many miles would you expect to get out of a new set of tires on a non-F sport with 18" wheels? They currently have 22K miles on them. Just looking for a rough idea of what to expect if I decide to purchase this car. Will I be replacing tires every 30K miles?

Didn't you say you owned a Corvette? You couldn't rotate those tires either ... why does this surprise you with a staggered Lexus setup? Tire life is going to depend on the brand/model of tire being installed (I believe colder climates have all-season where in South Florida like I am, I have summer tires installed from the dealer) and also your driving style. If you like to drive spirited, goodbye tires. If you drive like grandma, you'll get a lot of life out of the tires.

The factory tires on my 18" staggered setup, Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 050, just hit 15K and still have a lot of life left to them. I do mostly highway cruising with a little "sport mode" driving when I'm feeling froggy.

By staggered, my vette had 19s in the rear and 18s up front. With the IS250, people refer to it as staggered even though all (4) wheels are 18s. Apparently the rear 18s are a little wider (not their diameter). Thus my confusion.

Your Vette was staggered in both hight AND width. The vast majority of RWD Sports Cars will have wider rear tires; Corvette's, Viper's, Porsche's, Ferrari's, Lambo's, etc. It is more common to have the same height all the way around but different widths. The wider rear tires allows for more grip for spirited driving.
