Newbie assistance please-
HI all- am thinking of buying a SUPER low mileage '14 IS 250 from a Toyota dealer VIN- JTHCF1D25E5007399. It's under 10k but I'm afraid it might have some issues being up North for its little used life. Any suggestions on what I should look for in an extended warranty or potential salt problems??

Might wanna ask to have the car up on the lift so you can inspect the bottom for rust and corrosion; since you mentioned the car was driven up North were it snowed+salted roads.
I'm sure you mean 10k MILES, that is more believable for a 2014 car. If the car is 10k USD, I'm not even gonna bother considering it lol. That is a red flag.
There were some issues with other is250 owners; battery drains and carbon build-up.

Clarification..
It's under 10kMILES on the car- oh, yeah the sticker price is MORE! But seems reasonable... It's at a big Penske dealership you I hope they will stand by it's condition. Thanks to all...

If everything else checks out, I wouldn't worry much about the corrosion. If it's been driven less than 10k miles, then how many of those were exposed to salt? Probably safe to say much less than half.
Also bear in mind that the Lexus corrosion warranty is for 72 months/unlimited miles, so you'll be covered until 2020 or so.

Here in WA (Western WA, anyway) we don't see anything like they do in NJ, but even with that, I wouldn't worry about it.

Under 10k mile? i wouldn't worry about any salt problems. Mine has been through two PA winters and not one issue with corrosion or rust. The 14s had some battery drainage problems and seat heater problems.
