Makes no sense, if there is improper sealer application, why would they not make the sealer application proper to PREVENT any issues? Am I understanding this right?
My SA actually said that mine was sealed properly. So it sounds like if you received a letter there is a possibility that it wasn't sealed properly, or perhaps not enough sealant was applied during the build. They will do an inspection to ensure that it is properly sealed, and if not, perform the remedy procedure. That's my take-away.

I haven't received the letter but when checked online my VIN comes back with the notice.
Good point. I made a slight addition to the post you reference. Sorry for the unnecessary confusion.

Went in last Saturday. Dealer said it was a little dirty and that they "cleaned" it up and applied the fix. No tank of gas for me either.

had mine done yesterday. I noticed that the offending area always had dirt and rock build up when i was detailing my car. They seemed to have cleaned it up and applied some material to it. They topped off my gas, and was very curious to why I didnt want my car washed even though it's nasty looking right now.

For the Canadian guys. https://www.lexus.ca/lexus/en/secure/owners/campaigns

I didn't see anything for my 2IS 250 or 3IS 350 at all as expected.

I had mine service last week as well, for the corrosion and for the Headlight TSB (14' IS350, just got her a month ago). They didn't have to do anything to mine either for the corrosion, which has been driven in the Northeast from birth. Dealer letter just says "Body sealant inspection and no further action required."

Did get new headlights though, so that was nice, and got to drive a 17' IS300 for a day. (Happy i picked my IS350)
