Default what is this?

Hello everyone,

This weekend, as I was under the car and about to change my motor oil. I notice this wire hanging through the holes in the underbody's plastic covers.
I looks like it would go to my light, and the clip that attached to the chasis or somewhere; had broken off.

However, I am not 100% sure... anyone know what this is and is to?
My headlights, DRL are all working, but found this so just wondering. I did tuck it back above the underbody cover to keep it protected.

Interesting... so what I am hearing, is even the F-sport can have fog lights. Although, by default its not an option due to the F-sport bumper, correct?
So... Lexus just left the same chassis, but swapped the bumper for F sport look and left the wires there?

I am not 100% on this but a manufacture might put the wiring and connections in the main wiring harness for the fog lights and leave out the hardware on each end.
It could be some other connector also. If everything is operating properly just put it back up inside the hole and do something to prevent it from dropping out and getting torn off.

Fog lights absolutely fit in the F-Sport bumper. Lexus decided to omit it (probably) due to costs and package differentiation.

Yes, they weren't an option in the US on the F sport models. You can buy the OEM fogs and connect them with the OEM fog light switch on the stalk and everything should work.

just make sure not to buy the oem fogs for the non-f-sport model. you have to purchase the jdm oem fogs for the f-sport model.

That does not look like your run of the mill fog light harness...Also, if it is anything like the GS, the fog installation is not as simple as it isn't plug and play. The harness is not sitting in the engine bay waiting to be used. There's some involvement in getting the fogs hooked up.

Borrowed this from a previous fog light post.
