Burning plastic smell..

Today I noticed a burning plastic smell, like a hot glue gun, coming from under the hood while driving and moreso under acceleration. Anyone know what it could be? Also my car has 13500~ miles. Thanks!

Did you check underneath your car? You could have run over some plastic and it got stuck under your car. I've had this happen before.

Ditto. check underneath the car. I had this happen before and it was a plastic bag on the exhaust system. The dealer found it for me and scraped off the plastic then the smell disappeared.

It goes away, I had the same thing burnt plastic bag... took about a year and it gets better

Sitting at the dealership waiting for my car, I actually heard someone getting this exact thing fixed.. had a burnt grocery bag caught on the exhaust and melted.
