Default Headlight sensor location?

Does anybody know where the sensor is for the auto headlights? I pulled out of my garage this afternoon and the headlights were on (as usual); however, they didn't turn off like the usually do once I pull out of the driveway. It's sunny today so obviously it's because the sun is low in the sky now. I was just wondering where the light needs to hit inside the car for the headlights to turn off.

There is a small 'dome' on top of your dashboard towards the passenger side if I'm not mistaken. That's the light sensor.
