Default Uneven tire wear

Background: Picked up an L/certified 2014 Lexus with 29k miles in Feb, Here we are in Oct and I put on roughly 17k miles and the inside of the rear tires are worn out, need to replace them. Obviously I need an alignment, is the rear adjustable? If not adjustable kit avail? Should they have aligned it at the point of sale back in Feb?

That's camber wear. Normal with performance cars.

Are you telling me the factory camber for this vehicle is supposed to be negative causing uneven tire wear?

yup. So when you do heavy cornering, you have more contact patch.

The rear is not adjustable, but there are adjustable camber arms that you can buy. Beware that these are sold individually, so you'll have to order 2 of them. I bought them because the car tends to eat tires even more since it's lowered on RSR Down springs. The camber arms should help reduce the tire wear.

On Amazon, search for, "Specialty Products 72450 LEXUS ADJ REAR CAMBER LINK" sold by Motospan.

Some alignment shops are able to adjust the sub frame as well to reduce the camber.

I know that was done to my 2IS so it I could get more ideal tire wear for general street use.

Yup!

Wear is a GOOD thing. You WANT wear. If you're not wearing, that means your car is performing like a Corolla. If you didn't want performance, this may be the wrong car for you.

Now if your alignment is WAY out of bounds because some component was bent, that's one thing. but if your wear is equal side to side, then it's just normal. You are supposed to consume tires every 15-25k miles on a performance vehicle. Ask any BMW owner.
