Default NAV screen doesn't turn on

I just had my 2014 is350 repaired after someone backed up into me in a parking lot. When I picked it up from the shop, the nav screen did not turn on. I tried searching the forums for similar issues. The ones I found seem to be more serious than mine because theirs did not turn on nor did the radio & a/c work. On mine, everything works; radio, Bluetooth, a/c buttons. Only, the screen just stays off. The people that did the repairs said they had to disconnect the battery during the repair process. It isn't a fuse/relay issue because they tested all of them. Hopefully it is something simple. Any ideas?

Honestly man that sucks.. I would put 100% liability on the shop that fixed your car.. Bottom line is it worked when you brought it in, it is their responsibility to make sure it works when you leave. Who knows what they did while they had the car.

Keep us posted

I plan on bringing it in to Lexus. Maybe my warranty would cover it? If not, that shop will definitely be responsible for whatever needs to be fixed. I trusted they'd get the job done with no issues because they are a very well known shop here that people bring most of their exotic cars to be serviced/maintained. Body repairs came out perfect and now this :/.

I'll definitely update with whatever I find out. Hopefully it can prevent someone else from having this problem in the future.

I've tried all of that. I can also use my steering controls to cycle through preset stations and switch modes (FM, Bluetooth, etc) without using the radio screen in the gauge cluster.

One of my coworkers was in a serious collision in his IS (ended up with over $20k in damage). When he finally got his car back from the shop, the nav didn't work either. He took it back into the shop and they found that they had disconnected it during the repairs (not sure why) and forgot to reconnect it, so it was an easy fix. Hopefully that's all it is in your case as well.

Do you or anyone else know if the connection is easily accessible? I'd like to give it a try right now if I wouldn't have to start removing things.

Not sure what was going on, but I could even hear the noises while scrolling through the menu. Figured it couldn't hurt anything, so I just disconnected the battery for approx. 20 sec to give her a reset and now it works....
