Default Negotiating a new lease when you are currently leasing

My lease will be ending next month and more likely than not I will be looking into another IS.
I know there's tips/tricks into getting a good deal with a lease. However, once you've leased some things
change, ie, they know your payment, they know how much your selling price was ect...

Any tips into handling a negotiation in this scenario? Am I likely to get a similar deal or will they still use their
salesman tactics?

There are three parts to a lease that will keep the payment down.

Residual value higher the better = 61% is good residual

money factor = interest for amount financed .0011 is a good money factor for Lexus financial right now 2.xx% per year annualized.

reducing the cost of the car through incentives

find which cars have the best residual for a term (right now IS 200t has 61% for 39 month lease)

works the same as a any lease but residuals and money factor as worse. Depending on bank rates buying the car outright my be a better option.

There is nothing special about negotiating a lease coming out of a lease other than not having to worry about a trade-in. But you might have to worry about excessive wear and tear charges most often because tires don't pass the minimum.

Trade-in or turn-in free, a good negotiator can get the same deal regardless.

Just ask for the best price possible and show your willingness to walk away. Mention you are cross shopping BMW, mercedes etc and just looking around. Get a quote from as many lexus dealers as possible (make sure it's in writing which most are willing to do) and show that quote to larger dealers. They'll be willing to beat it. Use that to your advantage. Keep making offers til someone accepts it or counters with an offer close to yours.

As E46CT mentioned, don't hesitate to walk away if they start playing games with you! I did it, too! Get as many quotes as possible and then narrow it down to the best 3. By walking away from the salesman that Saturday morning, not only did the salesman give me a call on my cell on Sunday (dealer is closed on Sundays!) but he also got me the best deal on my current Lexus IS 250!! $6,000+ off MSRP Just be prepared to handle the shady and aggressive salesmen! Good luck!
