Default Center Console/Armrest Insert

I picked this up on eBay for $23 shipped - arrived in 4 days (I think). Ignore the dust and crumbs (a flash picks up everything ). [SOrry if this has been posted - but I didn't find it in Search - or I didn't search well enough)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/172145183088?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Pros:
+ Its a useful accessory (sunglasses fit in large tray, front can store big can of gum/mints/etc.)
+ nice build quality, fits perfectly
+ removable silicone inserts
+ coin holder
+ USB cables still fit

Cons:
- Logo is not official
- coin holder is not deep so doesn't hold coins well (they won't fall out, but can tip over)
- covers cigarette lighter socket
- would've been better if the coin holder was removable so you can have a larger space

Re: the can of gum - I have to put it on it's side in the small tray (but it can slightly hit the ceiling of the armrest if not positioned correctly).

I'm not sure if I'll keep it there forever, but for now, it's a nice accessory when there are so few available for our car.

Wondering how much space do you have below it? enough to fit pens remotes etc?

There's still enough space below it to store things. Phone charger, pens, etc...

Its not very deep - maybe about 1-2" deep only. You should still have more than enough space for pens as the 12V socket is still functional.

@rawlingsl - Nice. I am disappointed by the coinholder, but am finding it very functional.

LOL about your Fastrak. I have one in my door pocket unmounted as well. My Fastrack is flatter and wider so won't fit in the cupholder. I've been meaning to mount it on my rearview mirror w/ 3M Command strips so as to easily remove them, but keep forgetting. So every day I reach into my door pocket and put it on my dash as I drive through the toll.

Good idea in making efficient use of the small console space. Thanks for sharing.

Nice! It looks like it was always there as opposed to an add-on.

Not sure if you guys are in Bay Area CA.
But I just make sure my plates are registered to my fasttrak account and just drive through the toll without it in car and they bill my account with picture of my plate. been doing this for years now
No real need to mount it

I hear you. My Fastrak is actually a medium gray instead of the usual white. I was surprised when I got a few years ago. I think its gone back to white again.

Actually am in the Bay Area. Admittedly, I've done license plate trick too. I guess i try to conform and follow the rules...but I should probably just keep doing this.

Bump and kudos to Rocket for this find. Just got mine after seeing this thread and really do like it. Fits perfect for what I had in the center console - do also wish the coin holder was removable but it does give me a place for coins instead of the bottom of the cupholder lol.

Never would have thought to look for one - recommended to a friend who then ordered one immediately. Bumping the thread up in case anyone is like me who didn't realize what they needed until they saw this.

Thanks Rocket!
