Valentine V1 vs Escort Passport Max2
i either have between these 2 cop radars..
anybody in here have these radars and can tell me which is good one to get?!

I'v heard great things about the Max 2. I have the Escort Passport 9500i. I would stick with Escort, their customer service was on point too. I have heard about the valentine(good things), but im an Escort kind person. Good Luck!

Just curious, how do either of these two compare to the Escort Redline?

 

9500ix escort passport safe me about 6-7 time. But if police are next to you it won't detect if police didn't turn on their radar.

 

v1 gets my vote. if you change your mind later down the road, they have fantastic resale value

It saved me today on my way to work. I was right behind a Cadillac CTS in the left lane doing 80 and the Laser detection went off. I slowed down, switched lanes and the Caddy got pulled over lol.

 

haha that poor caddy!!!

My V1 was really annoying at first and I think it was getting the radar from the blind spot monitoring on my IS.


I ended up turning off the X-band & K-band. So the only thing my radar is picking up is KA & Laser.


Not quite reliable since I've read that cops use ALL bands here in Ohio.


But, every cop I have picked up with the V1, was KA and it has picked up miles before I even saw him. Definitely has helped me.


But your best and most reliable way to catch cops it to use your eyes and scan the traffic ahead.


I wouldn't strictly rely on the radar detector to save you.

 

WAZE.....Real time.Free. Warns of Cops 1/2 mile ahead.Also love the warnings for objects in the road(saved my low front end many times).Free in the app store.

 

WAZE is nice. I've come across times where a cop was reported but wasn't there anymore. I guess it depends on the location you're at whether people are updating the reports frequently or not.
