Toyota would be stupid to not release an engine for the mid cycle update and soldier on w/ a 10 year old unit...
Agreed. The 350 needs a power update. We are getting left in the dust by the competition.

What. You guys aren't happy with the 5 hp boost the GS got? I'm quite certain that's all the IS will be getting as well

im also waiting for the 2017 IS, hopefully they refresh it with triple led headlights the updated mouse on the interior and maybe make the grill a little wider, more like the 2016 GS

No way that the IS gets an upgraded engine before the GS does. It'd be great if they could throw in an updated nav system with a return and enter button on the mouse controls along with updated headlights.

the IS does not need a larger grill. i really hope they don't make the car cartoonish as the proportions are already pretty spot-on.

I would hope they do some minor changes that don't affect the resale value of our models. Things like:

1. updating the infotainment software would be a great start.
2. Painting the lower rear bumper the body colour
3. Offering some new interior exterior colour combos
4. Standardize the headlights (in Canada we get the HID only)
5. I like the center console layout of the RC more, it seems better to me and it would be nice if they adooted that one.
6. The RC front end is pretty sweet, I have often wondered how hard it would be to convert my IS to use it. There is a body line in the fender that doesn't carry over unfortunately so it presents a challenge so an RC front end would be nice but I think that would be too drastic a change for a mid generation freshening
7. Id like to see the amplifier in the trunk to come with some factory pre-outs to make an aftermarket install easier.

That's all I can think of for now.
