Usually always fill up my 350 with Shell V-Power 93. A new shell station opened up near me and noticed the price for premium was 40 cents cheaper than the station i normally go to so i decided to try it out. I was weary at first but now my worries were confirmed after driving the car for two fillups from this new station...
the car runs sluggish... almost like its forcing to drive... even in sport mode, punching it doesn't have that same effect. i have a feeling i did not receive 93 octane gas but perhaps 93 mixed with a lower octane which would explain the 40 cents cheaper per gallon. Its a new station though so i thought it would be better pumps newer tanks newer etc... has anyone experienced something like this? would appreciate the feed back... should i just run out the tank and throw some injecter cleaner in next fillip? thanks!
Wow where can i get 93 octane ive never seen a gas station that sells it. Highest i have ever seen is 91
There's lost of gas stations near me that has 93. There's more that has it then those that don't throughout all of Florida I would say. Sunoco and BP to be specific has 93, I live in Orlando, Fl

I doubt it is bad gas but it might be because the tanks are new and the "sludge" in the oil hasn't settled when you filled?
Try
Putting your car in neutral and then running the RPM to around 5000+ for 1 min and then see how it drives. IT should help.

just run out the tank, skip the injector cleaner for now anyway and get back to pumping from a better station or pump. I have variances even among my top 3 Shell stations I pump at. I quickly eliminate all the stations off of major highways cause those runoffs can tamper with the tanks or simply cause they are older and probably have a lot of sediment in their tanks.
To answer your question, I have also experienced these issues and the thing to do is keep track and stay on top of it because these distributors that make the grades may me skimping or it be the aforementioned bad tanks too.
What was the name of the station, like circle k, valero, etc? I know that I generally only go to like, Shell, QT, Costco stations when I fill up. Stations like circle k and ARCO imo are crap and seem to me to have less quality gas.
Isn't 93 octane a waste? The car was tuned for 91. Unless of course 93 is the replacement equivalent of 91 where it's not available at your local gas stations
I've never seen 91, we only have 93 here in Miami.
Back to the topic.. Was it an actual Shell station? Like someone posted above, I never go to those "no name" gas stations. I mainly use Chevron, Shell.
I guess the only way to find out is to finish the tank you have now, then fill it up with your regular gas station but with the injector additive, finish that one, and then fill it up again with the usual station to see if theres any difference to performance.. thats what I would do.
