Finally picked up a midpipe for my AWD is250. I went with Tsudo as it was a good price and I have to bring it to a shop to get it to fit with the AWD. $280 US and it looks very high quality. Getting it installed next weekend and hoping it all goes well and pairs well with my invidia axelback. Here's a couple pictures.
This will still require modification of flange at the cat end on the right side to fit AWD right?
Yes it is fairly minor work that needs to be done. I was quoted $140 cdn. For the fitting and installation of the mid pipe. This picture shows what needs to be done. I will update with my own photos and of course a sound clip once it is installed.
How's the axelback sound? How's it been holding up? I have the invidia axelback I love the sound.
Sounds good not loud at all... no drone. I've been thinking of getting the midpipe to add some more growl to it. The axleback is of excellent quality well worth the price.
I'm curious how different the Tsudo (or even Invidia) mid pipes sound compared to just a stock midpipe with the secondary cats removed. Any input?
So far yes it seems like a high quality product. I'm hoping it increases the sound of my invidia axelback, it looks exactly like the invidia midpipe which also has no cats. I believe they are the same diameter piping too the only difference being the resonators. I'm hoping for a fairly loud exhaust while keeping the growl I get from the invidia axelback.
I'm not sure what a stock midpipe with cat delete would sound like, I imagine pretty similar but it would still have stock resonators on which are pretty restricting. Also I didn't want to go around hacking up my stock midpipe I'll keep it how it is for easy replacement if I ever need to.
