Hello, I just got an 2016 IS300 F Sport, I was just wondering are the 2016 model engine turboed? Or is just for the 200t?

Just the 200t.

 

IS300 engine is basically a detune v6 is350 engine.

 

I think the IS300 is just a detuned 3.5L V6, because Lexus hasn't had time to fit/test the 200t 2.0L turbo into the AWD configuration.
The 2017 Refreshed IS due late 2016 may be available in IS200t AWD.

 

SO, you bought a $45k+ car and you don't know if the car is turbocharged or not? or am I misreading this?

As a previous poster said, the IS is a crippled IS350 - same motor - everything the same - exactly, except the software in the ECM...

 

I've heard people say it was and when I look it up it wasn't. Just wanted to make sure that's all.

 

Don't feel embarrassed or anything most people have no idea what type of engine a car has. I remember many times my friends said that an ml350 is turbocharged or that an 535 is twin turbo. Someone even thought that my GS was supercharged.
