Default Front Lip Question

Has anyone purchased this front lip for their F-Sport?

If so, how is the fitment and install process? Seller said that you have to drill holes to secure via screws. I'm a little hesitant to drill into my front if it doesn't fit well, or any other problems that may happen. Would love feedback if possible.

I did a search on the thread for the front lips, but didn't see any.

Mahalo in advance,

lol that's my car when I went in for them to take pics. I have both that AimGain poly rep as well as the real AimGain FRP one. From experience, they fit pretty much the same.

Thanks and on the AimGain. I thought the ebay ones look real similar, which is why I was interested for the price.

Does the AG also require the drilling of new holes? Any possibility of securing solidly with 3M?

yeah all lip kits require drilling... I don't think any actual lip (excluding allfit and lips like that) can be secure with 3M, or at least I wouldn't recommend it lol. Drilling holes sounds scary but it's really no problem... No one can see it lol and it has 0 effect on your car.

How's the quality of the replica? Is it a you-get-what-you-pay-for kind of thing?

nope it's actually pretty close to the real thing except it's polyeurathane instead of carbon fiber or FRP.

was wondering, being that the rep and aimgain front splitter are similar what made you still purchase the aimgain after having the rep?

I got a good deal on a used FRP one from a friend for a relatively cheap-ish price lol. I had a lot of rep parts on my car initially as I never planned on building my car seriously but I didn't want to quit halfway haha so I started switching all my parts to real/legit parts.

If any of you are in NorCal, I'm selling the rep AimGain one posted in this thread. (painted gloss black)
