Default Dusty Brake Pads

For the fellow members that have exchanged their F-Sport dusty brake pads for a low dust version, was there a TSB for this?

Could anyone who had done this exchange comment on what you said to get the exchange done?

Thanks.

I've never heard of the 3rd gen ISx50 having this problem. I thought Lexus fixed this issue in 2012.

I don't know if people were getting pads changed for dust but for sound as well as rotor resurfacing

I obviously could be wrong

I just bought mine in Dec and when I picked up the F sport air filter I asked the parts guy. They haven't issued a TSB for it and he agreed it is a little ridiculous and a bunch have complained about it. I bought a set of Akebono ProAct front and back for $82 at RockAuto. Doing the back too is a little overkill but it wasn't much and these cars are a breeze to change them. Now I clean the rims every week when the rest of the car gets a bath, Before it was every other day. Car has very comparable stopping ability, no noise, and nowhere near the dust as before and the dust it does produce is an almost dark grayish color that is much less noticeable.

Is this not just a result of using performance brake pads? From my understanding all performance brake pads do this, regardless of the make and model of the car.

get ceramic replacements and your brake dust will go away. I've been through this in the BMW world.

Lexus did not fix this issue in fact if you read the following from several of us with the new IS200T, you will see it is a braking issue as well.
