My gas lid will not shut flush. When I lock the doors it makes a loud sound as if it is having a hard time catching the lock. the lock still catches but its still not flush. When the car is unlocked and I shut the door I can just pull it open without pushing on it as it is not sitting flush.

I checked for anything that may be in the way of the hinge and all seems normal.

Has anyone had this issue yet? My warranty list is adding up for my next visit!

 

Should have tried a little harder before I came here but I guess I will close it up incase someone else searches for the same issue.

The little black clip that holds the gas lid wire in place on the door was swiveled towards the back preventing it from closing all the way.

 

I had the same issue. Took it to the dealer and they fixed it under warranty

 

I had the same issue with my '15 IS250 FSport. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the lock assembly. Works like a charm now.

 

It's the tether piece binding up, I cut mine off and never a problem again.
Remove cap, put in holder, fill up, replace cap.
Lol

 

That's what I was thinking.

 

The dealer just bends something and it's good to go.
