Does Lexus offer an individual option like BMW where you can special order specific colors? Saw a 3IS that was definitely not USB. Looks like BMW Monaco Blue or Onyx Blue. Like a dark blue metallic color. Looked pretty good.

 

negative. some of the colors are attached to certain packages. if you saw a color that isn't a factory color, it is more likely wrapped or painted or even plasti-dipped.

 

Yeah I thought it was painted or wrapped but then I saw an old asian lady driving and thought maybe it could be from Lexus.

 

i really love that color and was sad to see it go.

Not sure of the exact years, I have it on my 2015 IS350, it was discontinued for 2016.

I'd like to eventually see Lexus go in that direction. Japan has a lot of artist & craftsmen who would do very well bringing together a true Craft line based on an individual preference.
Audi allows you to choose 16 different leathers one can mix, some paint, etc and build time takes an extra 8 weeks.
As critical as we are of Lexus they are a relatively" young" company compared to their German & Italian counterparts. One day Lexus will.

 

I considered Autumn shimmer before I bought my NX. It looks great in direst sunlight but once the clouds appear the color just looks awful Almost like black with no pop. Those photos posted above look nowhere like the real color in person.
