I have all functions turned on inside menu options.

I have Sirius xm subscription and they told me it's not a service they provide for Lexus.

So I'm thinking its a service from Lexus, is this true ?

 

Traffic and weather is free through HD radio. I've had issues in the past with my weather map not showing up (I honestly don't pay much attention to the traffic), and when that happens I delete personal info and it works again.

**Beware that deleting personal info deletes radio stations memory and sound settings, which sucks.

 

If your IS is 2014+, then your car actually has HD Radio Traffic, which is subscription-free. If traffic is turned on and not showing, try rebooting the system by holding down the volume button. If that doesn't work, then you might want to take it to the dealer to have check.

I noticed HD signal is kinda spotty in my area, so some traffic doesn't appear at times.

 

I tried both options and nothing has worked. I also just noticed its not downloading the weather info, so I think its all related.

Can I reset the hd radio, It seems like its on

 

any time I go to the weather maps or anything weather it keeps saying loading....and nothing happens it just keeps going. I wish there was a way to reload that. any one know?
Yes I do have the HD 3 car logo going so that seems fine

 

 

The first pic is what I always saw before I did the personal data delete, which restored my weather map. I've never seen the message in the second pic. I would take it to the dealer and show them what's going on.

 

Hey SilviaIS i also had this issue on my 2014 IS. I am also located in new york and spent multiple trips at the dealer trying to resolve the issue. Even software updates would temporarily help but after i had to disconnect the battery for something it went back to the old way and i was able to replicate the issue. after disconnecting my battery it the traffic and weather would not work.

-finally they opened a case with lexus and replaced my entire radio and it seems to be working just fine. hopefully it stays that way

 

oh wow, I was hoping not to have to spend the day at the dealership...I will try the battery disconnect option first.

 

Is the HD radio (traffic/weather) supposed to work in Canada? I know that my area supports it because I live in a major city and my dad has a Garmin GPS that can get the traffic signal.

 

I tried disconnecting the battery and still keeps trying to load....I think im left with no choice...unless you have another suggestion.

 

go to the dealer. do you have the latest firmware update? they just came out with one in september i think to address the issue of weather and traffic not loading. pretty sure this will do the trick
