I just had the 5K service on my IS 250 F Sport today and my service advisor confirmed that an IS F is coming and it will be forced induction but did not say when. I would guess maybe for 2018 since Lexus needs to release the forced reduction replacement for the 3.5 liter V6 first.

Personally, I prefer the IS over the GS platform regardless of cost. From the chassis, to the power trains, and the suspension, it is a well designed platform that would make a great 3IS F if Lexus would build about 5000 of them. In addition, we need a more reliable alternative to the M3, RS4, and C63.

Lexus - Are you listening??!!??
I have an 08 F and unless they make the ISF larger, or if you chop off your passengers legs. You are fitting at most 3 people in the ISF unless the driver if 5'5.

It must be true if your service advisor, who gets no information other than what he reads on the internet, says it.....

...that person had no idea what they are talking about.

I think it's safe to speculate that they will release another ISF and that it will have a V6 Turbo set up. They need a competitor for the M3/RS4.

I don't understand why they would do this. We are already halfway through the lifecycle of the 3IS. I can believe a 4IS-F but 3IS-F looks unlikely. But you never know...

the 2IS-F didn't come out until the 3rd year of production. If Lexus can somehow miraculously come out with a 3IS-F next year as a 2017, it can still have 4-5 years of production life.

Only time will tell. I tend to believe even the service advisors are privy to internal communications regarding products in development that we as auto enthusiasts may not be aware of. At this point, one can only hope. ; ).....Make mine in Atomic Silver!!

With all the talk in this thread about Lexus getting rid of the V8 and the release of the LC WITH the same V8 you have to wonder what is going on..

Why say your ditching V8's and THEN release a brand new car with it?

Even the GS F.. Just came out... Why go with a V8 only to replace it in 2 years?

I thought the same thing but realized I was wrong. Lexus stated that they will not use a NA V8 in the next high performance F car. The LC 500 is not an F car.
