I notice every once in a while, I end up cleaning this white powder from my driver's seat. Now I've noticed it coming from the steering wheel airbag cover.

It's dry to the touch, and does not smudge. But it does clean off easily with a damp microfiber or interior cleaner.

Anyone know what it is? What is causing it?

 

Yah, its when someone from the backseat grabs onto the seats with their hands. Comes off with a quick cleaner and microfiber towel.

 

I get that when my sunblock rubs off onto my seats. My wife's lotion does the same. In the summer, with a lot of tank tops and short sleeve shirts, it's much more frequent.

 

Could be deodorant lol
