Default Ignition Problems??

Hey everyone,

I have a 2015 IS250 F-sport and seeing problems with the ignition (Has 6500 miles). I was wondering if anyone else has this problem or could help me out.

Every morning, I press and hold the brakes and the usual routine of starting my car up by holding the ignition button as well. The first time I press it, it sounds like it's going to start, but halfway it just dies down. The second try seems to always work, but it's been getting on my nerves.

Does anyone know what the issue is? I will try to upload a video when I get the chance to.

You have to keep holding your brake until the engine starts up. If you release the break while it's starting up, it will just stop. It may take a bit more time to start up in the morning.

I made sure I pressed on the brakes and the button, but has been happening a couple times consecutively in the morning I believe. Is this a huge issue that might cost me a lot?

Yeah. I never hold my start button.

I had this problem on my 2014 IS350. The engine didn't turn over completely not because you didn't hold the button or press your brake long enough, it's your battery problem. Initially I thought I didn't press on the brake long enough. Your battery may be weak, there's definitely battery defects in our cars. I've had this ignition problem around the same mileage as yours when it was pretty new, I ignored it for a long time until my battery died completely last month. Go to dealer and let them check your battery.

Thanks for the advice, and thanks everyone for your response. I'll definitely go check it out at the dealer, it's a shame that if it is a battery problem..

It shouldn't cost you anything more than your time. Your car should be well inside its warranty.
