My wife's coworker backed into her 3IS F sport with the Ultra white paint. We're not sure if we need it to be repainted or if it can be buff out, but want to get advice where to take it to get fixed? I remember hearing the Ultra white paint is rare so must it be done at a Lexus dealer?
at the same time, I heard repainting is never a good idea because they will never match factory quality, if so, should I push to see if it can be polish and buff out first? I will add images soon.
I think you should get it buffed out first with polisher.. you probably won't need a machine to do it, just buff with a microfiber towel after washing. I recommend Meguiar's Scratch X
there are small dents, the surface is no longer smooth. i really want to restore it to mint condition since its someone elses fault, i will try polishing it by hand but want to know if its a better idea to pass to lexus to do it or any auto body shop will work? i remember ultra white has like 2 layers with 3 coatings or something which gives it the metallic look. what will scratchx do to that?
Looks like a good PDR (paintless dent repair) guy and a detailer should be able to take care of you.
It doesn't look like you need a body shop, unless the camera is smoothing out a lot of the damage.

Im in orange county and had my fenders fixed and repainted and the paint came out matching pretty good. The local shop i took my car to was referre to me so tried it out and came out nice. I too have a ultra white. If ur in the surrounding garden grove, santa ana, westminster area, pm and ill find the place's info for u
So someone tapped my wife's lexus this morning. Can one of you guys recommend a place in the Los Angeles area to fix?? I found a place called Scratch & Match but they have very little reviews. The other place is called Bumper Solutions but they seem kinda shady based on the reviews. I know its not a 3IS i its still a ultra white car and I value the opinion from you guys in the 3IS section. =)
Does anyone have a good body shop or collision center in San Fernando Valley Area that can color match Ultra White on a 16' IS200t? Going through my insurance so it's gotta be quality above all else.
Rear Ended on drivers side bumper Collateral damage on the hood, big dent and paint has chipped
