Default Difference between IS300 and RC300?

I dropped my IS F sport off to fix some curb rash. They had an RC300 as a loaner so I took it. The engine sounds so much deeper, even from just regular throttle acceleration. Anyone know what the difference is?

I believe that the RC comes with ASC (active sound control). Pumps "mean" artificial engine noise into the cabin.

Check for that, its a wheel scroll kn0b. That adjust the amount of noise you want, or completely turn it off.

The 2017 IS Turbos get that ASC too.
