I just took a drive in a 2016 IS350 Fsport in the US. All old bulbs, no leds to be found... what's up with that?

 

I have a 2016 IS300 and what this means is that on the side mirrors there is a LED that comes on when I get close (think 8 feet) to the car. At night it cast a well enough light on the floor that surrounds whatever door Im approaching. Its a very classy feature that I appreciate. This has nothing to do with the interior, those bulbs are still regular bulbs to my knowledge.

 

^^ The mirror mounted puddle lamps in my '14 IS are incandescent. I'm glad they updated those to LED.

 

FALSE - I have a 2016 IS300 F Sport. None of the bulbs are LED. I just swapped all of them myself...even the puddle lights in the mirror.

 

My 2016 350 F-sport has no LED bulbs anywhere, its exactly the same as the 2014 model.

 

So we now have 2016 fsport owners right here... saying the opposite, good, I was about to be all mad about the 2016 fsport that I just left a deposit on last night

 

Just do the bulbs yourself... They're all 194's. Extremely easy to remove. The only tricky ones were the puddle lights in the mirrors but there's a DIY here on how to do it on a 2014 and it's identical. I followed that and had them done in about 20-30 mins for both.
