Anyone heard of an issue installing aftermarket subwoofer and noise canceling programing that the car has?
Took my car to a local shop and they are telling me that the new lexus IS emitts a noise canceling sound and installing a subwoofer might cause issues.
I do not have the ML system and its a 2015 IS f-sport

Obviously, your 'local shop' doesn't have a clue. Don't let them touch your car.
Just heard back, no issues on my specific model, i guess they ran into this problem with a BMW that shoots engine sounds back into the car. They just wanted to make sure on my car.

I'd still be cautious - a BMW is not a Lexus, and anyone qualified to work on a Lexus vehicle would know that Lexus does not use ANR.
I installed professionally for a living and never heard of Lexus/Toyota with such issues when installing Subwoofers only.
Now Honda/Acura on the other hand, major issues.
Did you do just a subwoofer with a amp and kept everything else stock ? How does it sound?
Yeah just a 10" JL audio sub and amp. Sounds perfect in my opinion not over powering doesn't rattle from the outside. I had it in my last IS just moved it over.
The standard sound system is pretty straight forward with sub installation and no special products are needed. You just have to make sure to tap into the subwoofer line to get the lower bass notes as the rear full range speakers roll off too much around 100Hz. Great that your install went smooth!
