The car remembers the audit settings you last used on the car. Just keep in mind that each audio mode (radio, bluetooth, ipod, etc) has its own setting .
Mine would always default to the nav screen. I don't know if it's related, but in the general options there is a setting called something like "Auto Screen Change" or something. When I turned this setting off, the UI behaved as I would expect, remembering screens I was on.
I use iPod and my car goes back to iPod 90% of the time. Sometimes may be there's a delay in recognizing my iPod during start up, it goes to FM directly. Not very annoying but that bugs me sometimes.
