Default flash drive

I have mp3 music on a 32gb Dash Patriot Memory flash drive that is not recognized on my 2015is radio. The music files are listed by artist and are in mp3 format in a Music folder. A post said that a 3.0 flash drive won't work but a 2.0 will. How can you tell whether it is 2.0 or 3.0.
I have a 16gb flash drive that works fine Can't figure why one works and the other doesn't. Any idea.........thanks Haroo

My 32GB USB 3.0 flash drive works fine in my 3IS. Most likely your drive is incorrectly formatted. Make sure your drive is formatted in FAT32, not NTFS, HFS, extN, exFAT, etc.

You won't want to exceed the limitations on number of files and folders, either:

• Maximum directory hierarchy: 8 levels
• Maximum number of folders in a device: 3000 (including the root)
• Maximum number of files in a device: 9999
• Maximum number of files per folder: 255
