I didn't think it had been released anywhere yet. I haven't seen a date for the US yet. Date for Europe is September. Not sure about Asia yet.

does it look exactly the same as the is x50? or does a minor refresh come along with the engine change?

well, that sort of makes me feel better - hah.
i hope they get rid of the lexus badge on the back -- just the lexus L emblem should stay.

They do not put the "LEXUS" badge on North American cars, but do elsewhere.

yes, in europe we still have the lexus badge on the back, unfortunately. that said, lexus is a much less recognized marque in europe (i'm a dual-citizen of the EU - spain - and US) and doesn't quite carry the prestige it does in north america.
