Just purchased some enkei wheels today to use with stock tires. What size and length do I need for lug nuts. 12x1.5? Also do I want short, open ended, etc.

Also, what is a good reliable brand that won't break or chip easily.

This all depends on your wheels... Normally, aftermarket wheels require "tuner" nuts.

12 x 1.5 is the correct size so just search on that and you'll find what you need.

Aluminum nuts should be installed ONLY by hand, no use of the air wrench. They also have anodized surfaces that will be easily scratched during the first installation. Steel nuts are free from these problems. I've used top quality KICS Leggdura aluminum nuts from Kio-Ei during 2014 summer season - the threads are ok, but the nuts look like they are 10 years old. I don't like the scratched parts on my car and installed steel chrome plated nuts from RAYS - no damage of the coating during installation, look like out of the box.

Aluminum is not really necessary, and i wouldn't recommend cheap ones. Easy to break/strip without proper knowledge/use.

I recommend steel or titanium.
