Default Square setup on stock tires?

Is there any problems and or performance drawbacks that affect feel, handling, dynamics if you put 18x8.5 inch aftermarket wheels on all four corners with the stock tires. Has anyone run a square set up on stock tires? Opinions? Thanks!

Multiple people are running square setups. Lexus even recommends a 17x8 square setup for winter up here.

I have an AWD is250 2015 with staggered wheels and I am thinking of getting alloy winter rims 17x7.5 and offset of 42 with winter 225/45/17 tires .... if you say lexus recommends winter setup of 17x8 does that mean my 17x7.5 is not good?

Thanks

running a square set up won't harm anything. if anything, it'll help you when you buy tires and rotate them. as far as widths, either 8" or 8.5" will be fine.

They actually said that OEM 17" fits, but aftermarket ones don't. Pretty sure it's bull***** to sell OEM wheels. But I'd say try em first to make sure they fit if you are going with aftermarket 17" wheels.

OP, are you asking about using 4 x 8.5" wide wheels with staggered OEM tires?

I am running four 8.5" wheels with stock staggered tires for this summer, without any problems.
