Default Engine light on after 3500 miles....

So this morning when I started my car for work, the engine warning light turned on.....Last night it was perfectly fine. What surprised me was the car is only 3500 miles in

Has anyone encounter the engine light issue this early in their ownership of the IS?

No, it's not common but it could be as simple as a loose gas cap. If it doesnt go away after tightening and if you are obsessive and have to know the code yourself (I admit, I am) you can get it read at an autozone if you dont have an OBDII reader. Either way the dealership will read it and fix it.

I would check your gas cap because if it is loose itll throw a code. But take it to your local Lex dealer man,

Nope... Unfortunately it wasn't the gas cap....
I'll have to take it in.

I noticed you have an Fsport intake. You may want to real quickly check the MAF connector as well. Let us know what it was. Interested to find out.

First I'm hearing of this. Good luck

I wonder, would Lexus charge a diagnostic fee for this? I had that experience with Acura and always found it ridiculous since the car had comprehensive warranty. They say it's not charged if it's deemed a warranty issue but I found it really annoying
