i drove my car for the first time in a few weeks and i noticed when i brake my car makes a slight thumping noise and has a slight vibration. i looked at my brakes and they look fine, they are brand new, less then 5k miles on them.
i thought it was maybe i haven't driven them a while and it was from a rust and dirt built up, but its not.
not sure what it might be, tried to record a video but it didn't come out all that great.
If it was fine before you stopped driving your car and now weeks later you first drive it and have vibration when braking you are right that it is probably build up. You may not see it with your eyes.
Do you have slotted rotors? Deposits can cause vibration. Just checking.
If you notice this when not braking it could also be flat spotting of the tires. That comes from having the car parked in the same place for several days without use. It goes away with driving.
