OEM Shark Fin Antenna Cover Removal
Hey everyone. First post here.
I recently got my UW F-Sport roof vinyl wrapped with gloss black. A local shop didn't want to wrap the antenna cover and recommended I get an obsidian black cover instead. So, I went to the dealership, ordered the part and now I have the cover.
I looked up threads here on CL thinking it'd be an easy 5 minute DIY but apparently that's not the case. One member said he had to remove the interior c-pillar trims, part of the headliner etc. etc. Another said to just remove the rear seat light dome and someone else said the a dealership just prys it off. I tried the light dome, all I was able to get to were the bulbs.
Before I do anything else does anyone have any solid answers? Thanks ahead of time.

i had it done
you have to remove the head liner, but the guy who installed the gloss black vinyl did it for me. Took him maybe 10 min, would have taken me an hour. Don't plastidip the fin, with gloss black roof it looks like crap. the obsidian one from the dealership looks great.

Thanks everyone! sounds like I got some work to do on my days off.
Im with textek on this one. Stay away from plasti dip. I had my roof matte black and chrome deleted before. The chrome delete looks amazing, sticks better than vinyl (same shop guy said hes had customer problems with vinyl sticking to the window chrome and is a pain to trim).
The roof, however, made it look like a cheap ricer car from the 90's and took away from the sheen of being a lexus. I took it off after 2 months and got it the roof vinyl wrapped. PLUS the guys who did my plastidip werent the best and there were plasti dip droplets everywhere and I thought they did a clean job until I washed it myself 2 days later.. it even in my gas tank door (like how did it even get in there)
