Default JDM Parts Delivery Time?

Has anybody ordered any JDM parts (shipped from Japan), specifically body kit components? How long did it typically take for you to receive it? I placed an order beginning August 2014 and still haven't received it yet. Just want to know if this wait period is typical.

I've heard of it being upward of 5-6 months at times. I had a few things purchased from Japan, but luckily they were small enough to be sent EMS. I am not a patient person for those kind of things. I'm more of an "instant gratification" kind of guy where I will pay the extra to get it shipped faster if need be. Right now I am actually thinking of just buying the seibon front lip because they are in the USA and I don't have to wait for it to be shipped. Ideally I would like the Lexon on AimGain and NOT in CF since I plan on getting it painted anyway, but looks like seibon it is, shame there isn't any other legit body kit (front lip) that isn't CF readily available.

If I were you, I'd contact the distributor you worked with and see what kind of shipping info they can provide. Most legit places will have something. Good luck!

Yeah I'm just the exact same way haha. I actually have the AimGain Type 2 diffuser coming to me if you're interested (non-CF). Right now I'm just trying to get it in my hands to sell it off.

I just don't have the patience anymore. If I pay that much money for something, I want it ASAP!

Thanks!

It was a 6-8 weeks from Japan when I ordered my wheels and lip kit.

I ordered my Aimgain rear in June and I didn't receive it until early November. It didn't come with the exhaust tips either, I was frantic, but luckily they're stock LS parts and was easily able to order through a friend at JM Lexus...

if you want it bad enough, you can pay express shipping and that means buying a plane ticket for it. Most of the time... parts ordered from japan are made to order anyways so you would still have to wait so realistically paying for plane ticket isnt worth it to me.
