Default Carbon Fiber Wrapped Interior

I can't seem to find the other thread on this subject. But my carbon fiber vinyl wrap arrived last evening and I thought I would post some after pics.

I purchased a 48 x 12 sheet of Black 3M DI-NOC from Amazon. Cost me like $24 bucks shipped.

Amazon.com: Black 3M DI-NOC Carbon Fiber DINOC Flex Wrap CA-421 48"x12": Automotive Amazon.com: Black 3M DI-NOC Carbon Fiber DINOC Flex Wrap CA-421 48"x12": Automotive

I'm pretty pleased with the results. Looking forward to wrapping my center console next.

Ricky

Looks good. I'm assuming your IS is a non F-Sport? I'm certain the F-Sport comes w/ all of these pieces in faux carbon fiber from factory. I'll have to take a second look at mine next time I drive it. Lol.

Mine is the F Sport model as well. I didn't like the color of the factory trim. I've attached some before pictures.

Ah yes. The factory is just more subtle. I like your wrap more. Good job.

Looks great, definitely post pics of the center wrapped in this. Also didn't you say before this was matte black?

Well done. It looks very nice. This is a small investment for making your 3IS more unique. Do share more pictures

For the install I picked up an x-acto knife, high felt edge decal squeegee and nylon fiberglass trim removal tool. Everything including the matte black carbon fiber wrap was purchased from Amazon. I've included links below.

I would also suggest picking up a heat gun. I grabbed mine from Harbor Freight for $14.99. If you have a hair dryer that should work as well.

Here is a picture of the driver side front door after reinstalling.

How difficult is it to get the trim pieces off? Which tool did you use to do it?

It's very easy to remove them. Just make sure you don't use a flat head screwdriver. I included a link in this post on the tools I purchased from Amazon for this job. You can find a trim piece removal tool for as little as $5-10 bucks.
