Is there a way to get this on F-Sport cars? Either as an option or dealer installation? I see on sewell that they have headlamp leveling motor for driver and passenger side as well as the base and all. Would it be possible at all? Or are the F-Sport models LED and it is only available if they are HID's?

I had these on my last 08 IS350. I really don't think there was any real benefit to them and they would sometimes get stuck and were replace once under warranty. They were just a real PIA. Only thing going for them were the "cool factor". I'm glad I don't have these on my new IS.

I had those on my MB CLK. One went bad, it was $2000 to fix it. I don't even want them again.
Wife has them on her car and I find them pretty cool, but I never understood their use... Why would you need to level your lights every time you start the car? Can someone enlighten me?
I think my wife has them on her RX when i start her car they dont just come on it looks like they move up its pretty cool i guess. I dont really get thr purpose either.

their purpose is to adjust the beam/cut-off height when cresting over hills to prevent you from blinding oncoming drivers. Most of the cars that have auto leveling headlights also have adaptive headlights where the side to side motion corresponds to the direction you're turning your wheel. When you start up your car, you may see the lights dip down then to the side, that's just the car running a 'diagnostic' on the headlight functions if you will.
I have an IS350 F Sport with LED headlights and my lights level themselves when I'm sloped on my driveway. I'll look at my window sticker again to see if it's listed there but perhaps they come standard with the LED setup?
