Default Can someone explain the headlights/LED's?

I have found several videos of the 2014 IS F Sport with the LED's off in driving mode. I thought they were daytime running lights, like most of the LEDs you see in cars today. Can someone tell me if I am wrong?

Do you have to have the parking lights on for the LED's to be?

Thanks

The light switch has four positions:

DRL Off
Auto
Parking
Headlights/Parking

If you put the switch in DRL OFF, you will get no exterior lights. If you put them on AUTO, you will get the LED DRLs during daytime, and the remainder of the lights are controlled by your light sensor.

Hope that makes sense.

There's another setting in console under lighting. If DRL is off in that setting you will not see DRL lights even in Auto position.
