Default 1 Year; 10k Miles...

Have my 10k miles service coming up.

Anything in particular I should look out for / request?

Those who've already passed this mark, anything to report?

Thanks!

Was just there two weeks ago. At least the 10K part. The car itself is only 10 months old. The car received a clean bill of health with no issues when serviced. The checkup was routine. Happy motoring for another 5K!

Does anyone know if you have to take it to the dealer you bought it from for the complimentary 5k and 10k check ups? I work across the street from a dealership but didn't buy my car there.

As long as you keep very detailed records, you can have your car serviced, including scheduled maintenance, anywhere. If you are ever in the need to have a warranty claim, Lexus will want to know exactly what was done and by whom.

I've even heard of folks taking their cars to Toyota dealerships. Most of these people live a ways from a Lexus dealership, and probably pass 2 or 3 Toyota dealerships regularly. You may not get the complimentary service at these shops though. Don't know that for sure. Maybe someone else with experience will chime in.

Sorry in advance for hijacking your thread dbs600. . . . . .corradoMR2, I see you have ordered the NX. Adding to the fleet or replacing your RX? Were you able to get a good deal?

You get a free wheel alignment within the first year, you just need to complain to the service rep you're car is pulling to one side a bit too much.

Cool(!), but dealer knows of prior wheel damage; doubt they'll go for it...

I had a tire replaced under my road hazard warranty (the dealer knew already) and they still did the wheel alignment under the factory warranty

Hmm; okay; thanks.

If you can PM the dealer name it'd be great!

How much does it roughly cost to update your navigation/software?
